It’s amazing what goes on after a week in camp. Several girls started out the week wanting to go home and tonight they are upset to leave in the morning.
I’m sure they will be excited to get back to the comforts of home, especially their own bed and air conditioning but they have enjoyed the company of their troop, the staff at camp and experiences they have found here.
The girls spread their enthusiasm around camp on Flamingo Friday by adorning their favorite staffers with pink bead necklaces. They spent the morning in their final merit badge classes and the afternoon participating in a camp wide game. Several girls worked hard to finish off metal and wood working projects, while others spent extra time at archery and the climbing wall, hard at work to complete requirements.
We finished off the evening and the week with the closing campfire program. The girls led two songs and a few girls received awards for the accomplishments this week.
Early rise tomorrow for final packing and clean up. See you all soon.
